Aba Wathetch,
We would like to welcome students, staff, parents, community and visitors to Ta
Otha Community School. We are proud of the rich, Stoney history, culture and
language embedded on this land. The language and culture is the foundation of
our education program and sets us apart from the rest.
When you walk through our doors, you will see that we strive to provide a quality
education program, and a learning environment that is safe, caring and
supportive for students, staff, parents and community.

Our History
​
TaOtha Community School opened its doors in 2009 for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school was named after Ta-Otha, Peter Wesley, who has led his people to traditional territories in 1894 against Indian Agent's demand to stay with in Stoney Reserve boundaries. This eventually became the Big Horn Reserve in the 1950's.
